Devlog #2– The Shadow That Watches

🌫️ "Adventurers tell stories about Blackmoor… stories of shattered bones, whispers without mouths, and golden eyes gleaming in the darkness. But no one who entered the crypt ever returned to tell how the story ends." 🌫️

Deep within the forgotten ruins of Blackmoor, where the ground is as cold as death's touch and the air carries the scent of candles long extinguished, a guardian lurks.

He does not protect treasures.

He does not seek redemption.

He waits.

The Specter of the Golden Eye is not like the common creatures that crawl through the crypt. He does not chase intruders. He watches. You can feel his presence before you ever see him— a shiver crawling up your spine, an invisible weight pressing on your shoulders, a shadow that seems to move when you're not looking.

And then, you realize.

He was always there.

The Curse That Never Sleeps

Centuries ago, Eldorin the Wise was a man of flesh and blood. He had a heart that beat, lungs that breathed, eyes that saw the world with an insatiable hunger for knowledge. But too much knowledge can be a poison.

Deep within the crypt, he found something that should never have been touched, a truth that should never have been read.

He sought immortality, but found eternal isolation.

The gods did not kill him—that would have been too merciful. Instead, they erased his name from books, his face from history, his voice from time. All that remained was a shadow wrapped in a cloak of dust and decay, with eyes burning like embers that never fade.

Now, Eldorin no longer walks. He floats. He drifts between the veil of worlds, condemned to guard the crypt that was once his prison—and may one day be his throne.

The End of the Story Has Yet to Be Written

They say there is a key to either free him… or seal him forever.

Ancient scrolls speak of the Flame of Redemption, hidden deep within Ebonvale. A single spark of its sacred light could bring peace to the Specter—or destroy him. But beware: some believe he does not wish for redemption.

He hungers for vengeance.

And if he is freed… what could possibly stop him?
